Whitham Mills Secures Order From an International Blue Chip Customer
Manchester-based engineering company Whitham Mills has secured an order from the pharmaceuticals giant GlaxoSmithKline plc to be installed at their Maidenhead site.
This contract is the latest in a growing line of ‘big name’ customers and has seen Whitham Mills install a GB1108FSS supplied with a 2-year service and maintenance package for the FTSE 100 Corporation.
The new GB1108FSS is fully automatic and able to process up to 4 tonnes per hour of cardboard. Capable of handling a variety of materials including both paper and cardboard, it can produce bales weighing around 500kg and measuring 1100mm x 750mm x 2000mm.
Whitham Mills previously supplied the same model of equipment (GB1108FSS) 3 years ago for their waste management company, and the new machine is set to run alongside their existing balers.
The managing director, Ben Smart, is happy with the firms repeat business:
“We pride ourselves on our second to none service and customer support and our repeat business from the likes of GSK proves this.”
“We aim to build on our long-standing, exceptional reputation to ensure our current and potential customers know where to go whether in the market for new equipment, baling consumables or for equipment servicing and maintenance.”
