WHITHAM MILLS SCORES THEIR LARGEST EXPORT ORDER OF 2019
Whitham Mills has recently won their largest export order for 2019 yet for Italian giant AMUT Group. The order consists of 2 x GB7575 fully automatic balers which produce bales weighing in at over 300kgs, processing in excess of 6 tonnes per hour.
These new machines will be installed and commissioned alongside the AMUT team at their customers’ site in Redcar. The new equipment will be housed in a state-of-the-art plastics recycling centre, which specialises in recycling PET and HDPE plastic bottles.
Their customer is one of the UK’s leading recycling companies, exporting around 440,000 tonnes of baled dry mixed recyclable waste each year. Their innovate plastics recycling facility has won many awards and Whitham Mills are proud to be working alongside these two giants in the world of recycling.
The two new balers will be at the end of the waste line baling all the material that could not be recycled. The bales will then be sent off for thermal treatment and recovery of the combustion heat generated.
Whitham Mills has entered its hugely successful 20th year of trading, developing international relationships and building business connections throughout Europe. This latest deal with AMUT comes off the back of a record number of UK sales orders for some of the biggest producers of recyclables in the country.
